West Palm Beach, FL (June 8, 2016) –Eddie Stephens, a partner and marital and family law attorney at the West Palm Beach-based firm Ward Damon, has been appointed a co-chair of The Florida Bar Family Law Section Technology Committee for 2016-2017. The Florida Bar Family Law Section actively encourages and facilitates meaningful interactions, cooperation and exchange of ideas between the state’s family law practitioners, members of the judiciary, state senators and representatives, and the governor to enhance the practice of family law in Florida.

As part of the Technology Committee, Stephens will work to improve the Section’s social media platforms, and advise with respect to emerging technologies. He will also assist in increasing awareness of the Section’s many benefits to practitioners and affiliates by the use of new and innovative media, and help to improve the level of understanding of technology issues impacting the practice of family law generally.

Eddie Stephensis a board certified attorney in Family and Marital Law. After starting his career asan attorney for the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office, Stephens has developed a successful family law practice focused on highly disputed divorces.Stephens is also a popular and engaging motivational speaker and is involved with a number of charitable endeavors. Hehas been a leader in the Boy Scouts of America for over 10 years and is also involved with Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Palm Beach County’s largest no-kill dog rescue. He recently graduated from the Leadership Palm Beach County program and was elected to serve on its Board of Governors. Stephens earned his J.D. at Stetson University College of Law.
