Conrad Damon, a founding partner at Ward Damon law firm in West Palm Beach and an environmentalist with a pragmatic perspective, announced his candidacy for Loxahatchee River District, Area 4. This area includes southern Martin County and northern Palm Beach County.

With more than four decades of legal experience in the areas of real estate, business, construction, estate planning and dispute resolution, Damon has also spent much of his career giving back to the community, serving on a number of governmental agencies and nonprofit boards. Most notably, he is a past Chairman of both the Martin County Local Planning Agency and the Martin County Board of Zoning Adjustment.  In the nonprofit sector, Damon was also the Chairman of ARC of Martin County, Inc., a charitable organization for the benefit of persons with developmental disabilities.

“As someone who’s passionate about water quality and a cleaner, healthier environment, I started learning more about the District after converting my own home system from septic to sewer, and attending their meetings to learn about their work, mission and operations,” shared Damon. “I would be honored to serve to represent our community in such a meaningful role. I am proud to say I have the experience, a deep commitment and a reasonable approach that balances preserving our environment with the realities of what that means for each resident.”

Whether in the legal field, in the community or at home, Damon is widely known as a “fixer” who utilizes empathy, good judgment and a reasonable perspective coupled with decades of experience and a willingness to learn to solve even the most complicated issues.

Elections for Loxahatchee River District are on November 8, 2022 along with the general election, and is the last category on the ballot before the amendments.
