Profile

A Palm Beach County native, A. Max Zaretsky is a real estate attorney whose strong background in business and finance provides Ward Damon clients with an integrated approach to the most dynamic legal needs.

Zaretsky started his professional career after graduating from Columbia University, when he co-founded Zemaso Management Company, a private investment fund for investment properties throughout South Florida. Zaretsky has since arranged funding and financing for individuals and companies, both public and private, throughout the country.

In addition to his work and academic experiences, Zaretsky currently serves as a Board of Trustees for Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach. He previously served on the Board of Directors of his prior condominium association for more than a decade, the majority of that time serving as its President. In that role, he negotiated, obtained and managed the distribution of a multi-million dollar claim and rebuild resulting from Hurricane Wilma insurance funds. Zaretsky also served as a Director of the Columbia University Alumni Association of Palm Beaches.

Married to Johanna Kandel, noted author, advocate and founder of the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, Zaretsky also provides pro-bono legal support to the organization.
